After a long pause, some space and time with myself, I came back! I came back together with spring (if you are in the northern hemisphere), and with this powerful new moon… So I am tunning it with its energy, feeling inspired, and ready to work towards what I´ve been dreaming on.
Today as I was taking a shower after an amazing yoga practice, I remembered why I created this newsletter… I want to share things that make me feel good, rituals, people, knowledge, thoughts, poetry, everything that makes my days lighter and more beautiful.
This past few months, I have been tunning on a deeper level with Ayurveda, the moon cycles, and astrology. At the same time, I have been studying and practicing more my herbalism and essential oils practices, trying to introduce everything into my daily routine.
Today I want to talk about an Ayurvedic practice that has been making me feel really good, helping with anxiety, tiredness, and just feeling better in my body; Self abhyanga, I've been consulting with an Ayurvedic therapist who recommended I did this at least 3 days a week, I have been using sunflower oil and somedays I use sunflower (calendula) medicated oil.
It is a simple practice, a little meditation, and self-love practice to make our days better.
Before taking your shower, massage your body with this oil, beginning with your arms, then going through your chest, belly, legs, and finally your feet... Energizing your skin and organs, this massage is extremely powerful, gives us energy, and calms our spirit. Sometimes I do it with music and sometimes I just let my brain disconnect. When you take your shower, don’t rinse it up completely, so the effects stay throughout the day!
